At the midpoint of the central vault, set in the sun
is the Lamb, symbol of Jesus crucified and risen.
He is the source of light and life
which radiates in a myriad of flames
to reach every man on earth.
Entering the Shrine from the chapel we find these words: Janua Coeli
This temple is like a gate wide open to Heaven, which has come among us and within us. One day we will contemplate it in all its splendor.
In the vault of the chapel adjacent to the shrine, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Philip Neri, St. Charles Borromeo and St. Francis de Sales are depicted. They remind us of the heritage of holiness from which Bartolomea effectively drew on in her rapid journey.
